Basic Information
SSN: You are encouraged to provide your social security number as it may be required for employment, registration, financial aid, and other offices at Rutgers. It will not be used for any public purposes.
RUID: RUID, a unique 9 digit Rutgers identification number, using "00" in the 4th and 5th number positions. It is used for administrative purposes and to access facilities and services (except where SSN is functionally required). You will only have a Rutgers University Identification (RUID) if you have previously had an association with Rutgers as a student or a previous application. If you are a new Rutgers applicant, a RUID will be assigned and emailed to you after submission of the application (please allow 24 to 72 hours).
Name: Please use your full legal name, First, Middle, Last, on this application and include your full name on any credentials you submit to Rutgers university. Do not use nicknames.
Other Name: If you have changed your name at any time or have academic credentials under a different name than your current legal first or last name, please enter the other name here. This will help us match credentials to your application file. If your name has never changed then leave this section blank.
International Applicants: If you hold a government issued passport, enter your name as it appears, First, Middle, Last. Include a copy of your passport along with your supporting credentials.
Date of Birth, Gender: This data further enables us to ensure that your record is updated accurately. Date of birth and gender help distinguish your record from other applicants or students who may have the same name, which is critical to mapping scores from ETS to your record.
