Letters of Recommendation help

Please provide your recommender information below.

Upon the submission of your admission application, each recommender whose email address you have supplied will receive a recommendation request email. This email will contain a link that will take your recommender directly to the Rutgers Graduate Admissions Recommendation web site. Your recommenders can easily provide Rutgers with a recommendation for you directly on that web site.

Supplying accurate email addresses is of the utmost importance. Recommender's email addresses cannot be changed once your application is submitted. It is strongly advised that you provide your recommenders with prior notice of the recommendation request email they will receive.

If you choose to supply only a recommender's name and not their email address, Rutgers will expect to receive a recommendation from that person on paper through mail delivery.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all required credentials, including recommendation letters, are received by Rutgers.

Right to Access

This letter of recommendation is confidential. Such letters are not accessible to applicants for admission. However, Public Law 93-380, Educational Amendments Act of 1974, grants enrolled students the right to inspect letters of recommendation. If the applicant does not waive the right to access and is admitted and enrolled, he or she will be able to access letters.
